Total Health

At Kaiser Permanente, we offer a comprehensive approach to health care, recognizing that what happens in the mouth affects the rest of the body and vice versa. Members with both Kaiser Permanente medical and dental coverage have their total health needs addressed when they visit a dental office — with coordinated care that provides a greater value.¹

Many of our dental offices are co-located with medical offices or have embedded nurses and clinicians. Depending on the type of dental facility, we can help address care gaps directly at our office or coordinate patient care by warm handoffs to lab, imaging, or the Nurse Treatment Room. Our staff can also help with scheduling needed medical appointments and assisting members with kp.org signups.
